We sequence the work to minimise unproductive unit moves, group locations sensibly, and build in realistic backup for weather, light and the long ways that remote Romanian locations need. The schedule is developed with the first assistant director and the line producer so it serves both the creative intent and the budget. It is kept live, new as locations, weather and casting evolve through prep. A schedule built this way protects the production from the lost days that an over-optimistic plan inevitably produces.

Here is the breakdown. Scheduling in Romania is shaped by geography and season. The country gives a top range of locations within reach of Bucharest. But a single schedule may have to interleave a controlled studio block, a heritage interior with strict access hours, a large period crowd, and an exterior deep in old-growth Carpathian forest reached by a long drive. Romania has four distinct seasons, with cold, often snowy winters that shoots deliberately exploit for winter sequences but which compress daylight and demand tight call timing, and warm summers with long shooting days.

Here is what that looks like on the ground. The dramatic Transfăgărășan road, frequently filmed, is itself seasonal, closed by snow for part of the year. Three decades of servicing global shoots have given Romania a crew base fluent in global scheduling practice, so a well-boarded plan is one that respects the country's seasonal and logistical character rather than fighting it.
