We brief each designer on the shoot schedules so fittings, multiples and stunt doubles are planned realistically against Bucharest workroom and supplier lead times.

Here is the breakdown. Romania is a natural home for costume work because its history is layered and visible. Our designers draw on it directly. Transylvania carries deep Saxon and Hungarian heritage in its fortified churches and medieval towns, while Wallachia and Moldavia hold Ottoman and Orthodox influences, and the Dracula legend traces to the 15th-century Wallachian ruler Vlad III. This gives costume designers real regional reference rarely found within one country. Here is what that looks like on the ground. The studios at Buftea and Castel Film retain that body-level knowledge and stock. Romanian folk dress, with its distinctive embroidered shirts and strong regional types, stays a living custom that informs both heritage authenticity and fantasy design. The cool, temperate four-season climate and the country's reliably snowy winters also mean Romanian costume departments are well used at engineering wardrobe for genuine cold-weather shoots without compromising the period silhouette.
